2024 Rebel Rules/Bylaws
A Rebel Series events are a competitive Open/Unlimited/Outlaw Kart racing event which is intended to be conducted and officiated in accordance with the rules herein (The 2023 Rebel Series Rule Book).
These rules provide the guidelines for all Rebel Series Races.
The rule book may be amended on occasion and special rules may be added or altered at any particular race with participants receiving prior notification.
By participating in these races, all participants agree to comply with these rules and regulations.
Series Director:
The Series Director shall be empowered to permit any reasonable and/or appropriate amendment from any of the specifications and/or procedures herein.
Impose any further restrictions that in their opinion does not alter minimum acceptable requirements.
Any interpretation of or deviation from these rules herein, are left to the discretion of the Series officials and their jurisdiction is final.
Competitors:
Drivers age is 16 years old minimum*.
* Any driver under the age of 16 that wishes to participate in any Rebel Series event must be approved in advance. The driver must also be approved for competition by The Rebel Series director and Series officials.
All participants (Drivers, Crews, Family members) agree to act in a professional manner as determined by The Rebel Series. The professional manner includes but is not limited to verbal representation, written representation, and any representation of The Rebel Series and its Affiliates.
It is ultimately the obligation of each participant to ensure their conduct and all their equipment complies with all of the applicable rules, as they may be amended on occasion.
Engine and Weight Requirements:
Any two-cycle engine, no maximum displacement, driver and kart no minimum weight.
Any four-cycle engine, no maximum displacement, driver and kart no minimum weight.
Safety and Personal Safety:
Each competitor is soley responsible for the effectiveness and the proper installation, per manufacture’s specifications, of personal safety equipment and determining it to be adequate for competition at every event.
Each competitor is expected to investigate and educate themselves continuing improvement reguarding their own personal safety equipment.
The Rebel Series Officials, and/or Track Officials may at their discretion, inspect any kart or equipment entered for competition.
All karts and equipment must be concidered safe by both The Rebel Series and the host Track before they will be permitted to compete in any event.
The rules are in no way a guarantee against injury and/or death to participants, spectators, officials, and/or others.
General and Race Day Policies:
The rules are intended to ensure that all Rebel Series Races are conducted in a manner that is fair as possible for all competitors, and is consistent with prompt finality in competition results.
In rare instances a decision maybe delayed to ensure a fair and accurate out come of any dispute or rule interpretation.
Special rules may be added by The Rebel Series for an event. Such special rules shall apply if they are announced prior to the event.
All drivers will conduct themselves in a professional manner on and off the track, or you will be dis-qualified on the spot.
The driver is the official entry. He/she may switch karts between heats or before the feature. The kart must have the drivers official kart number as entered for the day, or else that driver will have to start from the tail end of the field.
All track rules and regulations will be followed by the Rebel Series and its drivers, unless announced before hand.
Any driver involved in a caution will go to the rear of the field, reguardless if you caused the caution or not.
Fixing, repairing, or restarting after the original drop of the green flag is not permitted, unless otherwise announced before an event.
It is asked of the tracks to only permit a driver to spin or cause a caution two time per heat or feature. Upon their third time, they are to be black flagged.
The track must provide heat, consy, and feature race results. These are needed for points / and write-ups of the event.
If an event is rained out after the start of the night, it will be concidered complete if all qualifing and/or heats are complete. The final finish will be the feature starting order.
Starts and re-starts will be between turns 3 and 4, It will be the pole sitter, or leaders choice to go.
Points:
Points will be awarded to the finish positions of the feature as follows: Starting at 50pts. for first, then a two point break down per spot. eg: 48 for second, 46 for third, etc…
Heat and consy winners as well as fast qualifiers (if applicable), will all receive 1 bonus point.
You must start the feature to receive any points.
The number of dropped races will be determined after the schedule is complete, and before the start of the season.
Drivers that are black flagged for un-sportsman like or hazardous driving infractions, or are dis-qualified for post race inspection or at the scales will receive no season points for that race.
Drivers black flagged for spinning out, involvement in cautions, or safety issues will receive points as if they did not finish.
Driver/Crew conduct:
As stated above, ALL DRIVER AND CREW MEMBERS WILL CONDUCT THEMSELVES IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER on and off the track, or you will be dis-qualified on the spot.
The driver and only the driver may come to a Series Official with any complaints. If a crew, or family member comes to a Series Official complaining, the driver WILL BE DIS-QUALIFIED AUTOMATICALLY reguardless, and face possible suspension.
Final Thoughts:
The Rebel Series was brought about to level the playing field. To give drivers a place to race without worry of favoritism, and a place where drivers don’t receive special treatment. A place you will receive good professional racing and payouts at their very best!!!
